The De Anza Shotokan Karate Club (DASKC) is both an active club in the De Anza Inter-Club Council and the founding organization of the Pacific Coast Karate-do Association. The club is run both by students and it's two advisors Irv Ploke and Pete Rabbitt, who are also the two karate instructors on campus. It's goal is to enhance the training experience of students enrolled in the karate classes offered at De Anza College. The club offers rank promotions and extra-curricular workouts, sponsors guest instructor seminars and tournaments, purchases equipment for student use, and organizes social events for club members.
